What QCassa is
QCassa is a NAV-certified electronic cash register platform for Hungary. It is a software product by FenySoft — we build and maintain it; our partners ship it to end customers under their own brand.
Three principles guide every design decision:
- Regulation first — every capability is traced back to a clause of regulation 8/2025. NGM.
- Quantum-safe by default — keys, signatures, and transport are designed against adversaries that already have quantum capability.
- Hardware-backed — secrets live in tamper-resistant hardware, not in application memory.
Who it is for
QCassa is a B2B platform. We do not sell a device in retail. Instead, we license the software stack to:
- Cash register brands that want a modern, quantum-safe fiscal core under their own name
- Retail chains and hospitality operators with in-house engineering
- Payment and fintech integrators building a regulated Hungarian offering
Your brand on the outside. QCassa on the inside.
Regulatory context
- 8/2025. NGM rendelet — the current Hungarian regulation on electronic cash registers
- NAV type-approval — submission window opened 2026-04-13
- Tax authority integration — real-time communication with NAV’s electronic invoice infrastructure, with offline resilience
- Trusted execution — Common Criteria EAL 4+ keystore for cryptographic material
- Post-quantum cryptography — NIST-selected algorithms for key exchange and signatures
FE AID Registry
In parallel with the product, QCassa maintains a free, community-driven registry for ISO 7816-5 FE prefix Application Identifiers — so that smart card developers worldwide can claim unique AIDs for their applets without collisions. Open for contributions via GitHub.
